The Station des Rousses is located in the south-east of the Jura department, in the Franche-Comté region, on the border with Switzerland (45 km from Geneva). It extends over a plateau, at an average altitude of 1120 m, in the Haute Chaîne of the Massif du Jura and in the heart of the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park. It is also made up of 4 villages, Les Rousses, Lamoura, Prémanon and Bois d'Amont.
